Students took inspiration from the contemporary oil painter, Kehinde Wiley, and created portrait illustrations of influential Black/African American individuals superimposed over custom patterns.

Students combined elements from multiple photos together using Photoshop selection tools, blending modes, and layer effects.
Multiplicity
Students multiplied themselves using layer masks in Photoshop.
Dual Exposures
Students learned how to combine multiple images using layer masks, opacity, and image adjustments.
Students learned how to use the pen tool, create a path, and modify line weight using character/paragraph styles.
Packaging/Branding
Design students developed a brand identity for their "clients" in class, and were tasked with fully executing the design and function of the bottles, as well as an appropriate colorant.
Stop-motion Animation
Students grouped up and became directors, filmmakers, artists, and more for their own concept of stop-motion film.
